The Oliver Smithies Investigators Program recognizes senior SOM research faculty who have made major contributions within and beyond their disciplines. The Program honors Dr. Oliver Smithies, PhD, Nobel Laureate in Physiology of Medicine (2007) and a distinguished faculty member at UNC for more than 25 years.
